Consciousness Operating System Manual Added to San Diego Central Library Collection
I’m excited to share a big milestone. The Bios of Being DLC (THE PRIVILEGED MANUAL: The grace.exploit) the,"Consciousness Operating System Manual" has been printed and added to the permanent collection at the San Diego Central Library.
This project began as an experimental “consciousness operating system” manual, mixing speculative design, metaphysical fiction, and interactive narrative. What started as a digital leak has become a physical artifact, now archived as part of the city’s cultural record.
About the DLC:
Bios of Being is presented like a developer toolkit for reality. It blends technical documentation with symbolic language, dream scripting protocols, and imagined OS commands. Sections such as imagination.exe, dream.compile, and manifest.engine treat introspection and narrative-building as programmable interfaces.
Why This Matters:
Having the manual accepted into a public library gives the work a different kind of life. It moves from being a digital curiosity to something preserved in a civic space, accessible to anyone who wants to explore it. It’s a reminder that experimental media can find a place in traditional archives too.

And for anyone in the San Diego area, I invite you to go on a small quest. Visit the Central Library and hold the physical artifact in your hands. It's located in the Zine Collection on the 8th Floor (https://www.tumblr.com/sdpubliclibrary). If you go, I'd love to see a photo of your discovery > tag me on X: @sepenzar or BlueSky: @mematron
Thank you to everyone who has supported and explored this project.
